\\ [[Software house]] inglese fondata nel 1985 produttrice di gran parte dei principali successi per [[Amiga]]. 

I [[videogiochi]] della **Psygnosis** sono stati caratterizzati per anni dal particolare stile grafico mediato dall'illustratore Roger Dean e dalle eccezionali sequenze introduttive animate, abbandonate nelle più recenti produzioni. 

Fra i più noti titoli di questa [[software house]] ricordiamo la saga in tre parti di "[[Shadow of the Beast amiga|Shadow of the Beast]]" ideata dall'ex fondatore della Imagine Software Ian Hetherington e l'innovativo "[[Lemmings amiga|Lemmings]]". 

È stata acquistata nel 1993 dalla [[Sony]] Computer Entertainment ed è diventata la [[SCE Studio Liverpool]], con la quale ha iniziato a produrre giochi per [[console]] (uno dei più famosi la serie di [[Wipeout]]).
