Game Boy Color Mania / Game Boy Mania

Game Boy Color Mania è una rivista italiana dedicata alla console portatile Game Boy Color e pubblicata tra il 1999 e il 2002 dalla Play Press Publishing di Roma, che deteneva i diritti in esclusiva della rivista britannica Total Game Boy Color della Paragon Publishing. Dal n° 9 il titolo divenne Game Boy Mania e la rivista passò gradualmente a occuparsi anche di Game Boy Advance e GameCube. In tutto uscirono 18 numeri, con cadenza generalmente bimestrale, fino a settembre 2002.

Come sua continuazione venne lanciata, senza successo, Advance Magazine, dedicata solo al Game Boy Advance (a maggio 2002 l'editore aveva già lanciato Cube dedicata al GameCube). Uscì un solo numero di Advance Magazine; il sito Retroedicola.it ipotizza che venne chiusa a causa del lancio in Italia della rivista ufficiale Nintendo, che rimpiazzò le riviste indipendenti. A pagina 49 dell'unico numero c'è un elenco, con copertine e sommari delle recensioni, di tutti i 18 numeri di Game Boy Mania, trattati come arretrati.
